Job Descriptions
Bulk vegetable oil imports
Monitor correspondence for imported cargo and track vessels.
Send instructions to clearing agent to pre-clear cargo
Ensure B/L reaches vessel agent prior vessel arrival
Execution of Sales Orders
Track sales confirmations from trade support desk to identify contracts to be executed.
Arrange delivery of product against sales contract within specified delivery period, including
transport where required.
Ensure liaison with tank planning for correct stock allocation
Invoice customer upon receipt of weighbridge ticket
Follow up and monitor payments and charge interest where applicable
Cross Border Exports
Prepare relevant pro-forma / commercial invoice for cross border export sales
Send clearing instructions and supporting documents to clearing agent
Invoice customer upon receipt of weighbridge ticket after loading
Monitor payments / negotiate Documentary Credits where applicable
Beans and Seeds Logistics
Plan weekly bean intake and book trucks accordingly
Filing & Record-keeping
Maintain up to date hard copy, and soft files (using the various e-filing systems) at all times.
Save all correspondence on SharePoint for easy access to all team members
Drag all relevant e-mail correspondence to shared mailbox
Higher Certificate in International Trade/ Logistics or Supply Chain (NQF5/10)
Certificate in INCO Terms
MS Excel Advanced
2 Years’ experience in contract execution and shipping management
Experience in SAP utilization
International Commercial Terms and Incoterms 2020®
Internal processes and procedures relating to: Shipping, Overland Cross Border Trades &
Customs Clearance, Sales Order Execution & Payment Processing
Excellent Customer service
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
Numerical and analytical skills
Methodical, detail oriented, neat and focused, good organising skills
Continuous monitoring & tracking until execution is complete
Conscientious and diligent in updating relevant systems, documentation and stakeholders
Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
