Purpose

Lead and manage efficiently the day-to-day of the Project to ensure safe completion of key targets including the study and execution phases and the hand over to the Operation to achieve the Business Case.

What you will do

• Conduct optimization exercises in the studies and execution stages, incorporating all relevant factors and aspects such as social, permitting, cost-volume investment, ore body characteristics to maximized value.
• Actively apply expert knowledge and thought leadership to challenge paradigms and lead project teams in the application of conventional and novel methodologies in exploring constructability options that will expedite project execution and realize capital savings
• Lead the analysis and identification of opportunities to enable step changes in value realization by creating novel management and technical pathways for the integration and/or adaptation of execution cycle time activities
• Contribute to and lead aspects of the analysis and assessment of EPCMs, suppliers and intermediaries for the potential development of strategic commercial partnerships

What you will need to know

• Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
• Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline (desirable)
• Experience in wide variety of projects, with varying financial drivers, varying project risks and project costs
• Significant proof of leadership and practical experience in Project Management
• Demonstrated experience in a senior people leadership role
• Advanced: Work on variety of sizes and types of projects and in major stages of execution
• Regular international and local travel will be required
