Join us as a Strata Control Officer and be responsible for the rock engineering designs layouts, support systems that meet operational requirements and ensure compliance in the operation.

You will have the direct responsibility to:

• Ensure compliance to standards and procedures
• Conduct planned task observations
• Gather geotechnical data
• Compile strata control reports
• Perform rudimentary analysis on data
• Respond when TARP triggers are met
• Conduct training for operational personnel
• Conduct QAQC on all support products and processes
• Communicate pertinent strata control issues to supervisors and the Rock Engineer

This role is in the Technical Services Department at level C4 and reports to the Rock Engineering Specialist.

• Matric Certificate
• Strata Control Ticket, preferably for Coal
• Driver’s license – preferably Code EB

• Basic experience in the Rock Engineering department
• Understanding of the Risk assessment process
