Auckland Park Theological Seminary Fees 2025
The management of the Auckland Park Theological Seminary has released the new & returning students’ school fee structure for the 2025 academic year.
The Auckland Park Theological Seminary fees booklet covers tuition, course material, residential fees, accommodation fees, textbooks, account numbers, quotations, fee summary, fee statement, examination fees, and other fees charged in 2025.
The following policies and procedures apply to all students who officially register for programs at the Auckland Park Theological Seminary.
The Institute reserves the right to change fees without prior notice. However, fee changes are subject to approval by the Governing Council and we will update it.

Undergraduate Degrees
Bachelor of Theology (BTh)
Costs:
R1,550 per module (which includes registration fee).
- 1st year: 7 modules per semester (2x semesters per year).
- 2nd and 3rd year: 6 modules per semester (2x semesters per year).
The registration fee is R516.66 for each module and is payable on the date of registration.
A handling and dispatching fee for books and study material is payable if you do not collect your material from ATS. The amount will depend on how many study manuals are to be posted. Estimated R100-R150.
BTh Bridge
If you have previously completed your Diploma at ATS you can “upgrade” your Diploma to the Bachelor of Theology (BTh) degree by enrolling and completing the BTh Bridge course.
The BTh Bridge is a minimum one-year course and consists of 1 biblical language (Hebrew or Greek) at the first-year level (2 modules) and 7 assignments (an assignment in each of the 6 different theological disciplines plus 1 additional assignment).
On successful completion of the BTh Bridge, you will be required to submit your original certificate obtained for your ATS Diploma. It will be replaced with a BTh certificate.
The cost for the BTh Bridge is R8,100 (excl. your biblical language) or R11,200 (incl. your biblical language).
Diplomas
Diploma in Theology
Costs:
R1,350 per module (which includes registration fee).
The Diploma in Theology consists of 6 modules per semester (2x semesters per year).
The registration fee is a third (R450.00) for each module and is payable on the date of registration.

Higher Certificates
Higher Certificate in Pastoral Counselling
Costs:
The Higher Certificate in Pastoral Counselling consists of 10 modules and is pay-as-you-go.
Students do not have to register for all the modules at the same time but the full fee for each registered module is payable at registration.
It costs R750 per module (which includes the registration fee).
Example: when a student registers for the first 3 modules, an amount of R2250 (R750 x 3) is payable at registration.

Higher Certificate in Youth Work
Costs:
The Higher Certificate in Youth Work consists of 8 modules and is pay-as-you-go.
Students do not have to register for all the modules at the same time but the full fee for each registered module is payable at registration.
It costs R750 per module (which includes the registration fee).
Example: when a student registers for the first 3 modules, an amount of R2250 (R750 x 3) is payable at registration.

Christian Worker’s Certificate
Costs:
CWC is pay-as-you-go.
Payment is made per module upon registration of each module.

Small Group Leader Certificate
Costs:
SGLC is pay-as-you-go.
Payment is made per module upon registration of each module.
Students do not have to register for all the modules at the same time.
The cost per module is R 400.

Entrepreneurship Certificate
Costs:
EC is a once-off payment up-front.
Full payment is made upon registration for the vocational certificate.
Important: Students need an Internet-connected PC or tablet.
The cost is R 800.

Christian Counselling Certificate
Costs:
R 390.00 per module x 4 modules = R 1 560.00
The full cost can be paid on registration, or payments can be made per module before the commencement of the specific module.

Women in Ministry
Costs:
R 355.00 per module x 4 modules = R 1 420.00

Note: Vocational Certificates are self-enrichment, in-house programs to assist those involved in ministry. There are no minimum admission requirements. They are non-registered, non-credit bearing and non-credit RPL (recognition of prior learning) may apply.
