CAO Application 2026… How to Apply Online Through Central Applications Office (CAO) for 2026 Admission Registration.
The Central Applications Office (CAO) is the organization responsible for overseeing undergraduate applications to colleges and universities. The primary mission of the Central Applications Office is to centrally process applications fairly and efficiently.
Read this before you continue….
- If you have already submitted an application form, please do not submit a duplicate application via the Internet.
- The CAO will only accept one application form from you for a specific entry year and term.
- Have your school and tertiary study details handy before you start.
PREPARATION BEFORE YOU APPLY:-
If you are currently in Grade 12
- Your ID Number (Found on your ID Document and/or Birth Certificate) or Passport Number
- At least your Final Grade 11 results.
- Also, Your Grade 12 June and/or Trials (September results) if you already have it or as soon as you get it.
If you have already passed the Grade 12 Final Examinations:
- Your ID Number (Found on your ID Document and/or Birth Certificate) or Passport Number
- Your Final NSC results
Central Applications Office (CAO) Application 2026
Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for admission into various programmes for the 2026 academic year.
CAO online admission application form portal is open to all qualified applicants irrespective of colour, race, ethnic identity, religion, gender or national origin.
Both South Africans and interested foreign applicants can apply for the CAOÂ Application Form 2026Â as Government Sponsored or Private candidates.

How to Apply Through CAO.
The application is made by filling out the application form online at the Central Applications Office admission portal.
- Visit the CAO Application Portal at https://www.cao.ac.za/myapplicationlogin.aspx
Note – Once the Central Applications Office Admission Application Portal is closed, new applications will not be submitted. So register now while the applications are still ongoing.
