Full Job Description

Vodacom Franchisee (10 Retail outlets in KZN and 2 Outlets in Sandton) with Head offices based in Montclair South of Durban is searching for a dynamic and professional Operations Office Manager who will be responsible for providing valuable support to the Managing Director. On behalf of the Franchisee, the successful incumbent will communicate with others both outside and inside the organization, will manage busy schedules, complete complex tasks and help with implementing new processes across the business. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and operational support related tasks. This person must be exceedingly well organized, highly flexible and enjoy challenges.

Key Performance Areas

· Primarily assist the MD with organizational, financial and administration on a daily basis

· Be friendly and personable while managing communications and maintaining the MD’s busy calendar (requiring interaction with both internal and external Managers as well as Suppliers and co-workers to coordinate various Management meetings)

· Manage all statistics for departments and ensure all KPI’s met (Retail operations managers, Finance. Stock, HR, and marketing teams)

· Manage Return on Investment for all departments

· Sound Operational skills to create and implement streamline processes across all departments of the business

· Be able to drive and communicate to Management teams in a confident and professional manner

· Comprehensive Diary management

· Compiling reports and meeting packs

· Prioritize and financials and helping reduce cost

· Respect the need for the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity of information

· Have a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner

· Lead short-term projects and initiatives to help streamline business as requested by the MD

· Assist with analyzing to exercise good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority

· Organize/plan meetings and take comprehensive minutes of all meetings

· Manage and ensure entire Management team meets deadlines and coordinate calendars

· Flexible and be able to work long hours as required by the business

Candidate Requirements

Experience:

· Minimum 10 years or more experience in operations

· Sound Accounting, Human Resources and Marketing knowledge to help MD with costing, stream lining processes and statistics to manage these departments reproting directly to him.

· Ability to be flexible and exercise sound judgment

· Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once in a fast pace environment

· Ability to work under pressure and long hours as required by the business

· Proficient in MS Office, MS Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook

· Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous
