False Bay TVET College Fees Structure – All programs

The management of False Bay TVET College has released the new & returning students’ school fee structure for the 2025 academic year.

Details of False Bay TVET College fees 2025 breakdown, bursaries, loans, tuition fees schedule, fees booklet, examination fees, residential fees, fees statement, quotation fees, finance booklet, student fees, payment procedures, funding, banking details and other fees charged for the 2025 academic year.

Fees include all the amounts that are payable for you to study and graduate on time. NCV students need to note that tuition fees differ between the faculties at False Bay TVET College.

For NATED, Part-time, Certificate, and Other programs: as a returning student, your fees may look quite different from that of an NCV student.

International students should note that the registration and tuition fees that apply to them are slightly different from those of local students.

The following policies and procedures apply to all students who officially register for programs at False Bay TVET College.

The Institute reserves the right to change fees without prior notice. However, fee changes are subject to approval by the Governing Council and we will update it ASAP.

Fee Payment Terms

Deviation from the Payment Terms is not permitted. Only in genuinely exceptional circumstances, can an application for a concession be made to the Deputy Principal of Finance


	PROGRAM TYPE	FEE PAYMENT TERMS
a	NC(V) Programs	20% of fees on registration for the program 4 equal payments of 20% starting February and ending May.
b	All 1-year Programs	20% of fees on registration for the program 4 equal payments of 20% starting February and ending May.
c	Semester Programs (full-time)	25% on Registration 1st semester: 3 equal payments thereafter, February, March, and April for the January intake 2nd semester: equal payments thereafter, August, September, and October for the July intake
d	Semester programs (part-time)	50% on registration 1st semester: 50% balance one month after registration 2nd semester: 50% balance one month after registration
e	Trimester NATED Programs (full and part-time)	50% on Registration 50% balance one month after the start of the Program.
f	Subject registration for Full-time, Distance Learning, and part-time students	Registration for 1 subject: 100% on registration Registration for 2 subjects: 50% on registration and 50% balance one month after the start of the program
g	Quarterly Programs: 8-12 weeks	50% of fees on registration 50% balance one month after the start of the Program
h	Companies, SETAs and parastatals	Preferably 100% payment before commencement of the program; or Within 30 days; or As per applicable MOA/SLA contract between the College & the Company; or A confirmed purchase order number.
i	Rewrite	100% payable on registration
j	Remark	100% payable on remark application
k	Repeating subjects NCV (private student)	10% on registration and 5 equal payments starting February and ending June
l	Repeating subjects NATED (Private Students)	1 subject – 100% payable on registration 2 or more subjects – 50% on registration and 50% one month after the start of the program

FOREIGN NATIONALS

Foreign nationals are not eligible to receive discounts and must pay the full fee at registration
To incentivize students to pay timeously, certain discounts apply to tuition fees, which apply to all program delivery modes:

DISCOUNTS


a	NC(V) / NATED Discounts to private Students registering for the full complement of subjects. (Only applicable to programs of a trimester or longer)	NC(V) COURSES 11 20% discount will be granted if paid in full by 31 January 2 7.5% discount is available on all NC(V) courses settled in full by 31 May NATED COURSES N4 – N6 A 13 20% discount will be granted if class fees are paid in full on or before the end of the month in which the classes commence as published in the official DHET calendar. NATED COURSES N1 – N3 14 20% discount will be granted if class fees are paid in full on or before the end of the month in which the classes commence as published in the official DHET calendar
b	Occupational programmes: Private students (excl. trade testing)	20% discount if full payment is made before the commencement of the program
c	Discounts for siblings	A 10% discount will be granted where 2 or more students share sibling relationships and are concurrently enrolled at FBC To be eligible for a sibling discount, the students must have one or both parents in common. The discount is applied to the sibling with the highest program fee
d	Discounts to Full-Time, Permanent False Bay College Staff Members	100% discount for tuition fees if the attendance of the program has been approved by the FBC Training Committee for staff development 70% discount for programs that are not part of staff development
e	Discounts to Full- Time Staff Member’s Spouses, their Minor Biological Dependents as well as their Minor, Legally Adopted / Legally Fostered Dependents (max 26 years old)	70% discount for tuition fees The full-time staff member must have been in the employ of the College for at least 1 (one) year and must be a current employee while benefiting from this discount.
f	Discounts to External College Council Members and their Spouses, their Biological dependents as well as their Legally Adopted/Legally Fostered dependents (max 26 years old)	50% discount for tuition fees The College Council member must have served on the Council for at least a year and must be a serving Council member whilst benefiting from this discount.
g	Discounts to TVET Directorate at Provincial & National level and their Spouses, their Biological dependents as well as their Legally Adopted/Legally Fostered dependents (max 26 years old)	50% discount for tuition fees The Education Department staff member must be directly linked to the FET Colleges Directorate An official must apply for this discount
