Economic Transformation Intern
The successful candidate will be provided with relevant workplace skills and experience in order to prepare the learner for the job market, the development and training areas will include but not limited to the below;
● Inclusive Economic Transformation –
●Assist Economic Development Team with the coordination and implementation of economic transformation programs as per transformation plans.
● Assist with coordination of BBBEE verifications.
● Set up internal B-BBEE meetings in all elements of skills development, supplier and enterprise development, socio-economic development, management control and employment equity.
●• Assist with handling queries related to transformation programs.
● Assist with compiling reports and tools for economic transformation programs.
● Stakeholder Engagement
● with participation in stakeholder transformation forums at a local community.
● Assist with identification of transformation risks and develop risk mitigation plan.
● Participate in B-BBEE communication meetings.
●Attend workshops, community imbizo, war rooms and dialogues, career expos that are related to economic transformation programs.
● Relationship Management
● Assist with specific events aimed at governmental role players pertaining to transformation issues.
●Contribute to team success through driving a collaborative work environment.
●Assist with economic transformation programs communication.
●Financial & Risk Control
● assist in finance, risk & compliance by:
● Identifying, mitigating, and monitoring potential business risks in relevant business section.
●Supporting SHE policies & procedures and ensuring compliance thereto.

Customs Controlled Area Internships
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
The successful candidates will be provided with relevant workplace skills and experience in order to prepare the intern for the job market, the development and training areas will include but not limited to the below;
- Assist with the maintenance of sound customs processes and control systems to deliver efficient Customs Controlled Area service.
- Providing administrative support in the setting up of unit meetings, drafting of agendas, minute taking, and writing progress reports.
- Assisting in collection of all relevant documents for SARS representatives, internal and external auditors.
- Data collection for reports, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Update the business on any changes of SARS acts pertinent to the RBIDZ.
- Assisting with compliance monitoring through SARS audits, and regular review on CCA processes, etc.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of SARS legislation and statutory requirements
- Customs Act, Excise Act, Value Added Tax etc.
- Communication skills in terms of written correspondence, general interaction and presentations.
- MS Office proficiency (incl. Word, Excel and Power Point).
