Henley Business School Africa Application Requirements 2025-2026

To join this Higher Certificate in Management Practice programme you will need:

• A Matric certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF level 4
• Evidence of competence in English proficiency (if your school and/or tertiary study was not in English)
• 1-2 years’ work experience, preferably with some junior management/supervisory experience.

All applicants must submit:

• A completed application form
• One reference
• Current CV; and
• and Certified copies of Identity Document and Matric certificate

To join Henley’s ACMP programme you will need:   

• Two years or more management experience
• NQF5 qualification or equivalent
• Evidence of competence in English (your schooling and/or tertiary study was in English). If not, please complete this form
• If you have a minimum of five years of working experience at a senior or strategic level and are without the required qualification, we would consider an application on the grounds of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

 All applicants must submit:

• Certified copies of qualification/s
• Two professional references.

To join this Advanced Diploma in Management Practice programme you will need: 

• A level 6 Advanced Certificate qualification (or equivalent National Diploma)
• Evidence of competence in English proficiency (if your school and/or tertiary study was not in English)
• Three years’ minimum management experience
• If you have a minimum of five years working experience at a senior or strategic level and are without the required qualification, we would consider an application on the grounds of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Postgraduate Programmes

Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice

To join the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice programme you will need: 

• Three years’ management experience; 
• First degree or equivalent professional or international qualification*; 
• Evidence of competence in English – English language requirements (PDF)**; and 
• You must be able to gain access to company data for assignment purposes. 

All applicants must submit: 

• A completed application form 
• Two references
• Current CV
• Certified copies of Identity Document and degree certificates.

Master of Business Administration

To join the Henley MBA programme you will need:

• Three years’ management experience
• An Honours degree or equivalent professional or international qualification with an NQF8 rating*
• Evidence of competence in English, if your last degree was not completed at an English institution – See: English language requirements (PDF)**
• You must be able to gain access to company data for assignment purposes

All applicants must submit:

1. A completed application form
2. Copy of ID or Passport
3. Current CV
4. Certified copies of degree certificates
5. Two professional references
6. English language test results or an English Proficiency at Work form, if applicable
7. If you are an international applicant who has a qualification not obtained in South Africa, please include with your application SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) certificate of evaluation per qualification.

*An Honours degree or equivalent professional or international qualification is required, however, we do welcome applications from candidates with exceptional management experience who may not meet all the formal criteria for admission. We require applicants whose native language is not English or who did not complete their first degree in English to have taken one of the following tests and to have reached the minimum level indicated. You are required to submit documentary evidence of your performance level with your application.

Please indicate on your application form the qualification you have taken and the grade you obtained, and attach the appropriate certificate. Alternatively, if the everyday working language of your current employer is English, please download and complete the proficiency at work (PDF) form, to be submitted with the Application. This must be signed by your Line Manager or HR Department.
