The University of Cape Town fully funded scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year were recently announced. Those scholarships will fund any program offered at UCT. This is an opportunity for local and international students who want to study at this beautiful university because the scholarships do not require International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

1. National Research Foundation (NRF) Scholarships.
This scholarship opportunity is for those who want to study for their master’s and doctoral degrees. The NRF will pay for 2 years for master’s and 3 years for a doctoral.

2. MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program.
This is a two-year scholarship. This scholarship will close very soon. The University is encouraging its students to apply before the deadline.

3. History Access Scholarships.
This scholarship is offered by the Department of Historical Studies. It requires those students who are currently enrolled for master’s and honors degrees. The scholarship only needs 3 candidates for a master’s degree and 6 candidates for an honors degree.

4. Refugee and International Scholarships
Refugee and International Scholarships are available for refugee students who are currently studying postgraduate courses. The scholarship is limited. 5. MMEG Scholarships By UCT.
MMEG stands for Margaret McNamara Education Grant. This scholarship offers only USD 7,000 and it is available for female students. 6. Jagger, JW Trust, and Centenary Scholarship Program.
This scholarship is for students who want to study or who are currently studying doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees at UCT. This scholarship is for 1 year only. Find out more about this scholarship HERE
7. Sports Scholarships at UCT.
This scholarship requires candidates who have represented their countries in any sports activity. The applicants must contact the Sports and Recreation Department. Find out more about this scholarship HERE
8. Beit Trust Scholarship
The Trust awards Scholarships at British and South African universities including the University of Cape Town, by means of generous academic partnerships with leading institutions. Beit Trust Scholarships are for Postgraduate degrees only and there are no scholarships for Ph.D. research ab initio. 9. Faculty Entrance Scholarships, and Faculty Scholarships (undergraduate scholarships)
These scholarships are awarded by different Faculties at the University of Cape Town. The awards are only for undergraduate students however, there is no application process for these awards. How to Apply for UCT scholarships.
In order to apply for UCT scholarships, candidates need to be enrolled in a certain program by the university. After enrollment, the candidate needs to contact the Head of the Department in order to get scholarship application forms. UCT also allows candidates to apply for scholarships online.
