Majuba TVET College is one of 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges in South Africa, operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).

The college is one of the largest technical and vocational education and training service providers in the country, specialising in priority skills development.

Majuba TVET College is the key service provider for technical and vocational education and training in the Amajuba and Umzinyathi Districts.

It services major industries in these areas in the sectors of iron and steel manufacturing, mining (mainly coal), textile and clothing production, cement and chemical manufacturing, tire production, engineering, and primary agriculture.

There are 8 campuses, spread over a wide geographical area that includes Newcastle, Madadeni, and Dundee. The College offers a diverse range of nationally recognized vocational and occupational programs.

Newcastle Technology Centre (Newtech) is a fully integrated engineering studies campus situated on FW Beyers Avenue in Barry Hertzog Park. Newcastle Technology Centre offers a diverse range of exciting and innovative courses to enhance entry into the labor market and improve career opportunities in the engineering field.

This campus boasts new high-tech workshops, which are equipped with relevant, modern equipment and machinery. Classrooms and workshops have recently been built to accommodate the growing demand for the National Certificate (Vocational) Programme.
