Job Description

Reports to: Customer Services Team Leader or Services Manager
This leading South African publisher and agent for British and American publishers, has an opening in the Services Department for a Receptionist who will be based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a professional, efficient and effective frontline service that enhances the image of the organisation
Key responsibilities:

- Greet and assist visitors, making necessary arrangements for visitors parking if required;
- Answer and channel telephone calls efficiently to the correct people;
- Manage and direct enquiries to the necessary departments/business units;
- Announce visitors timeously and efficiently to the correct people;
- Sign for good received and deliver to the correct department/individual;
- May be required to handle bookings for meeting rooms;
- Assist with administration duties as required; and
- Report faulty lines and switchboard faults.

Qualification and experience required
- Grade 12
- Administration or secretarial diploma (Preferential)
- Previous experience operating a switchboard;
- At least 2 years’ reception experience in a Corporate environment.
- Proficient in all relevant software packages and applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
