Lactalis South Africa is part of the French international dairy company Lactalis and is one of the major players in the Southern African dairy industry. The purpose of this job is Provide effective stock controls and accurate administrative information about stock, the movement of stock and to capture data/adjustments on the IT platform (WM9).

Duties & Responsibilities

? ? Stock Control (full responsibility of the following points): Variance report; reconciliation of monthly stock as well as stock in transit; actual stock count; factory claims and adherence to stock procedures. ? Verify accuracy of all transactions. ? Provide and process reports requested by management. ? Problem solving by: managing and controlling problem area and take preventative action; Investigate reasons for variances. ? Daily monitoring of Ice cream warehouse stock movement and stock report updates. ? Ensure daily reporting and cycle counting is completed on: NA63, NZ10, NZ30, NI11, NH11 ? Ensure monthly reports are updated and cycle counted on: INV021, INV015, INV048, INV002, INV018, INV006, INV013. ? All RT transactions are done correctly and balancing with Factory shop ST and Head office ST transactions. ? Monthly stock counts on all stocking warehouses. ? Daily monitoring of Goods in Transit Report and follow-up on outstanding transactions. ? Daily stock verification of short dated stock and allocate according to LIFO priorities ? Daily clearing of pick faces. ? Ensuring the fast efficient and effective picking of all Factory Shop orders to be dispatched. ? Resolving stock queries. ? Monitoring staff continuously to ensure that loads are picked according to priority requirement for correctness. ? Ensuring all loads picked are invoiced correctly and delivered timorously. ? Minimising out of stocks, short delivery and maintaining a high service level. ? Investigate all system related queries related to picking, invoicing and receiving. ? Investigating stock discrepancies relating to wrong counting. ? Liaising with Receiving and Debriefing departments regarding returned stocks, short dated returns, damages on hold etc. ? Assist with the daily checking of GIT report on quality claims and transporter claims. ? Ensure accurate processing of signed authorised regrade/dump notes. ? Ensure all shorts, damages and extras received are corrected. ? Ensure put away of all stock at allocated locations. ? Ensure damages handled as per Standard Operating Procedure. ? Ensuring Ice Cream warehouse invoices are balancing with stock picked by QK/Sequence Logistics. ? Ensuring Export invoices balancing with stock picked by Warehouse receiving. ? Ensure stock that need to be invoiced is accurate and according to regrade notes and transfer notes. ? Ensure all shorts, damages that cannot be sent to trade is invoiced to Factory Shop timeously. ? Ensure that all invoiced stock is delivered to factory shop accordingly. ? Ensure that all stock invoiced to external DC is accurately loaded and followed up and that it has been received. ? Maintain company procedures.

Required Skills

• Matric with Accounting/Mathematics, a commercial graduate qualification will be an added advantage. • Minimum of 2 years in inventory management or having been exposed in stock management. • Strong time management skills. • Must be able to work under pressure. • Must be able to communicate with senior management in the DC • Must pay attention to detail. • Must be able to work with different internal stakeholders. • High level of integrity.
