Internship Overview

The South African State Theatre (SAST) runs internships in its TV and Stages departments. Candidates will work in media production and performing arts. Graphic Designer Internship (1 spot)

This role sits in the SAST TV department and reports to the Associate Producer. You need a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Graphic Design or a related field. Bring 0-1 year of experience and a portfolio in PDF or link format.

Producer Internship (1 spot)

Also in SAST TV, this position reports to the Associate Producer. Requirements include a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Media, Film & TV Production, Performing Arts, Theatre Production, Communication, or Journalism. Expect 0-1 year of relevant experience.

Sound Technician Internship (1 spot)

Found in the Stages department, it reports to the Senior Production Manager. Applicants need a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Sound or a similar area. Up to 2 years of experience is fine.

Videographer Internship (2 spots)

This is in the Stages department under the Senior Production Manager. You need a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Film and Television or equal qualification. 0-2 years of experience works.

Minimum Requirements for All Roles
