SRD R350 October Grant For October 2025 – Application & Payment Dates.
Millions of South Africans rely on government financial assistance each month to afford basic goods and services. In October 2025, those needing help are encouraged to apply for the R350 grant from the South African Social Security Agency.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) provides financial assistance to millions of vulnerable individuals through social assistance grants. Without these grants, many unemployed individuals could not afford to meet their basic needs.
Unemployed people in need of financial assistance are encouraged to apply for Sassa’s R350 grant, which has been extended until October 2025.
How To Apply For The R350 Grant
There are two ways an individual can apply to receive this grant.
How To Apply On The SRD Website:
- Visit Sassa’s SRD grant website
- Click on the ‘click here to apply online’ button
- Enter your cell phone number and click ‘send SMS’
- A one-time PIN (OTP) will be sent to the number you provided
- Enter the OTP
- Confirm and accept the Clauses in the Declaration and Consent documents
- Enter your details
- Provide your cell phone number, employment information, and lifestyle sustainability information
- Provide your banking details
- Follow the prompts to complete your application
How To Apply On WhatsApp:
- Add Sassa on WhatsApp using this number – 082 046 8553
- Send a message to the number – Careers Portal simply sent “SRD Grant”
- Indicate if you are applying for a grant for yourself (by sending the number 1) or on behalf of someone else (by sending number 2)
- Send a message with your name as it appears on your identity document
- Send a message with your surname as it appears on your Identify document
- Read the terms and conditions and respond “YES” if you accept the terms and conditions
- Indicate whether you are a South African citizen (by sending the number 1) a Permanent Resident (by sending the number 2) or a Refugee (by sending the number 3)
- Click on the link sent to you in the WhatsApp chat
- Confirm and accept the Clauses in the Declaration and Consent documents
- Enter your ID number
- Follow the prompts to complete your R350 grant application for October
Who Can Apply For The R350 October Grant?
To qualify for the R350 grant, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria.
- Unemployed
- South African citizens, permanent refugees, permanent residents, asylum seekers, and special permit holders
- Between 18 and 59 years old
- October not have an income of more than R624 per month – this refers to the amount of money in your bank account
As long as you meet the eligibility criteria, Sassa will continue to pay you your R350 grant each month.

SRD R370 Payment Dates for October 2025
SRD grant payment dates are different for each applicant. To check your payment date for October 2025, use your ID and phone number on this website (srd.sassa.gov.za).
The payment window for October will be from October 25 to 30. This schedule is consistent with previous months, so make sure your contact information is updated to avoid delays.
