Overview of StudyTrust Sponsored Bursary Program
If you are successfully enrolled with a University you can apply for a bursary.
A bursary is a monetary award made by any educational institution or funding authority to individuals or groups. It is usually awarded to enable a student to attend school, university, or college when they might not be able to, otherwise. Some awards are aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into the study.
In partnership with StudyTrust, Standard Bank offers full cost bursaries to Grade 12 (who will be in their first year of study in 2019) students who have exhibited academic and leadership potential.

Standard Bank CSI Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
- Excellent academic results with distinctions in Mathematics and Physical Science, if applicable. The basis will be the Grade 11 final results, Grade 12 June results and Grade 12 Pre-lim results. Minimum 70% average and 75% for Mathematics, 70% for Physical Science and 70% for English FAL (or 60% for English HL) are required.
- Proven financial need
- Admission to the designated study programmes
- Preference will be given to applicants in rural and township background

- Death certificate or a sworn affidavit in the case of deceased parent(s) / guardian / spouse
- Divorce certificate if your parents are divorced or sworn statement if separated
- Provisional admission letter to the institution you applied to study at.
