UG Scholarship 2023/2024. The UG Scholarship program is designed with the aim of offering financial assistance to exceptional and underprivileged undergraduate students studying at the Main Campus of the University of Ghana. In this post, we will explore the scholarship scheme available for continuing students for a limited time only.
Eligibility Criteria for Your UG Scholarship 2023/2024
- Must be a regular student main campus
- You are able to demonstrate limited family income and/or insufficient funds to cover most or all educational-related expenses
- Have the will to succeed (determination, perseverance, and success in other pursuits)
- Obtained an aggregate of 20 or better at the WASSCE
- You are a continuing student with a CGPA of 2.5 or better
UG Scholarship Supporting Documents
The following are examples of documents that you can use to support applications
- Official pay slip or payroll record of parents/guardians or the applicant
- Recent school receipts/ bills of siblings of school-going age
- Tax return receipts– IRS, VAT, tabletop hawking receipts, etc
- Birth Certificates (of siblings)
- Death Certificate or Burial permit (in case of death of a parent)
- Pension letter for retired parents/guardians
- Bank Statements / Ghana Cocoa Board Farmers Association Passbook
- SSNIT contribution statements
- Money transfer receipts
- National Health Insurance receipts (showing premium paid)
- Evidence of other dependents of parents/guardians
- Any other supporting documents that you believe will assist in the processing, of your application
How to Apply For UG Scholarship
Follow the steps below to apply for your scholarship
- Visit the UG Online Scholarship Portal
- Select New Application Submission (First Time Applying) or Renewal of Application (Applied previously)
- Enter your Student ID
- Enter your Pin
- Click on Login
- Fill out the Application form
- Upload supporting documentation
- Submit Your Application
- Also, submit a hard copy of the preview of the completed application form with the three essays and all the attached documents to the Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO).
- The next step is an interview
- Congratulations you have successfully applied
