The University of Johannesburg (UJ) registration for 2026 is opened to all new and returning students irrespective of color, race, ethnic identity, religion, gender, or national origin provided he/she is a qualified student of this premier citadel of learning.
University of Johannesburg (UJ) Registration Process 2026
You can access the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Student Online Registration Portal 2026 24 hours a day from any location with an internet connection using a desktop computer, a laptop, notebooks, tablets, and even smartphones.
- Registration commences for returning/continuing students in respect of Diploma, Degree, Honours and Course Work Masters programmes on 18 January 2026 until 12 February 2026 (only online, off campus registration will be allowed).
- Access cards for senior students will be automatically activated after registration.
- Registration commences on 18 January 2026 until 12 February 2026 (only online, off campus registration will be allowed) for new Masters coursework, Honours and Postgraduate Diploma students.
- Registration commences for First year undergradute students on 23 February 2026 and closes on 05 March 2026 (only online, off campus registration will be allowed).
- Only First Year students will need to come onto campus to collect their student cards. In order to gain access to campus you will need your printed proof of registration and an ID or driver’s license.
- If you are a Senior student under the age of 18 on 18 January 2026 OR a First year student under the age of 18 on 23 February 2026, you and your parent/guardian should sign the under age agreement form and submit this completed form to the Faculty before you will be able to register. Library fines:
Students can pay library fines online. However we can only lift blocks placed on students three days after payment as we need to receive these funds before the block is lifted.
