About the University Of Laval Undergraduate Scholarship 2024/2025
Université Laval is a French-language public research university in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The university was founded by François de Montmorency-Laval as Séminaire de Québec in 1663, making it the oldest institution of higher education in Canada and the first North American institution to offer higher education in French. The university, which was founded in Old Québec, moved to a new campus in the 1950s in the suburban borough of Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge. It is ranked among the top 10 Canadian universities in research funding[3] and holds four Canada Excellence Research Chairs.

Benefits of the University Of Laval Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship of $5,000 per year is renewable once, subject to compliance with the faculty’s criteria of excellence and upon the research director’s recommendation and faculty approval.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
The general eligibility criteria that apply can be consulted on the FSA ULaval admission scholarship (Grouping) page.
Special criteria also apply:
- At the time of submitting the application file:
- Have obtained or are in the process of obtaining a diploma from a secondary school (baccalaureate) in the Maghreb or sub-Saharan Africa
- Have a minimum general average of 14/20 and 14/20 and above in mathematics
- Be a national of a North African or sub-Saharan African country
