As global thought leaders, Discovery is passionate about innovating in order to not only achieve financial success, but to ignite positive and meaningful change within our society.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Key Purpose<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Our Commissions department is looking for a great person to join their team as a service consultant to service broker houses and franchises with all related billing and commissions\u2019 queries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Answering inbound calls timeously<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with predominantly telephonic and occasionally email queries<\/li>\n<li>Assisting franchises\/brokers with Health, Life and Group Life and Vitality queries<\/li>\n<li>Submitting of reports to brokers<\/li>\n<li>Review and recommend improvements to existing processes<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure best practice<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other related functions requested by management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>NB<\/b>: The role is not limited to the key outputs mentioned above<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Personal Attributes and Skills<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform a variety of administrative responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and attention to detail is vital<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that delegated tasks are performed within proper time frames<\/li>\n<li>Prioritise workload and address any immediate issues as and when they arise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Effective communication at all levels within the organisation (written and telephonic)<\/li>\n<li>Client centric servicing and positive problem solving approach<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management<\/li>\n<li>Deadline conscious and able to work under immense pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Work independently, but open to team work when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Takes responsibility for actions and projects<\/li>\n<li>Upholds ethics, values and demonstrates integrity<\/li>\n<li>Adapts to changing circumstances, new ideas and change initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>Education and Experience<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Essential:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric Certificate<\/li>\n<li>1 year Call centre experience within a financial service industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Advantageous:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>1 year Call centre experience dealing with brokers<\/li>\n<li>1 year experience with Discovery Life products<\/li>\n<li>Post-graduate degree or equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>EMPLOYMENT EQUITY<\/p>\n<p>The Company\u2019s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
