Some focus on music, such as jazz and rock; and others on social awareness. But there is only one competition worldwide on reggae music. One of the reasons this music has spread across the globe is because reggae speaks to our heart and our mind about a wide range of social and political issues.<\/p>\n<div class=\"12e8abe62ae64b91c0bfbd6c80849a4d\" data-index=\"5\"><\/div>\n<p>For this 7th contest, they would like entries to focus on the messages that reggae and all the other genres of Jamaican popular music are spreading globally. They are looking for creative visual expressions that capture those issues and showcasing them through the energy and the vibe of Jamaican culture, at home and internationally.<br \/>\nThe objective of the International Reggae Poster Contest is to build awareness for positive reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of reggae and its impact on the world. The committee is made up of members of the design professionals around the world. They will select 400 posters to go forward to the final judging phase.<\/li>\n<li>The final phase will be conducted by our jury of 10 leading design professionals from around the world. They will convene to select 100 posters that will be published in a catalogue and exhibited around the world in \u201cThe Art of Reggae\u201d exhibitions.
