All Eligible and Interested app<a href=\"https:\/\/southafricaportal.com\/\">l<\/a>icants may apply online for this opportunity before the application deadline-closing date.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>NOTE:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t forget that the <b>YYAS<\/b>\u00a0application is totally free of charge<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t send anyone money for this opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>Beware of Fraudsters!!!!<\/li>\n<li>Subscribe to our notification list with your email to receive the Latest Opportunities Update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>YYAS Application Details 2021<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>YYAS is an intensive academic and enrichment program designed for African secondary school students planning to pursue tertiary education and who wish to make a meaningful impact as young leaders on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will enhance their academic skills, receive guidance on university admissions and career path options, and join a network of young leaders from across Africa. Following the program, students will be paired with mentors who will advise them throughout the university application process. There is no tuition cost for students to participate in YYAS.<\/p>\n<p>YYAS 2022 will be an online program held from 20 July to 26 July 2022. Over the seven-day program, participants will utilize various online platforms, including Zoom, to engage in video seminars, lectures, and conversations. Students attending secondary school in ANY African country are eligible to apply. Applicants should be 14-18 years old and in the international equivalent of 11th grade. There is no application fee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Age:\u00a0<\/strong>You must be at least 14 years old by the application deadline (03 February 2022) in order to be considered.\u00a0<em><strong>Please note that a\u00a0typical YYAS student is between the ages of 15 and 18<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>English:\u00a0<\/strong>You must\u00a0be able\u00a0to participate in a rigorous academic curriculum conducted in English.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Citizenship:\u00a0<\/strong>You must\u00a0be a citizen or permanent resident of an African country.\u00a0<em>YYAS will also accept applications from refugees living in an African country<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>School location:<\/strong>\u00a0You must currently attend school in an African country.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grade Level:\u00a0<\/strong>You must be a current 11th grade student (or the international equivalent).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Graduation date:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0If you attend school in the Northern Hemisphere, you must be graduating secondary school by latest May\/June 2023.
