Some awards are aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into the study.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 data-birdsend-par-index=\"3\">Southern Farms Bursary Application Details 2022<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Southern Farms: Bursaries for 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bursaries will be awarded\u00a0<strong>for studies at Stellenbosch University<\/strong>, within the following fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agricultural Economics<\/li>\n<li>Agricultural Production &amp; Management<\/li>\n<li>Food Production Systems<\/li>\n<li>Plant &amp; Soil Science<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be a South African Citizen<\/li>\n<li>You must reside in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>You must have completed Matric<\/li>\n<li>You must be studying full time at Stellenbosch University<\/li>\n<li>You must be studying towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above<\/li>\n<li>You must have completed your 1st or 2nd year of study<\/li>\n<li>You must be entering your 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2022<\/li>\n<li>You must agree to all the terms and conditions of the bursary (on the application form)<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals, including unemployed youth between the ages of 19 and 25 years old, candidates in financial need, candidates with disabilities, and students of color (Black\/ Coloured\/ Indian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>registration fees,<\/li>\n<li>tuition fees,<\/li>\n<li>prescribed textbooks,<\/li>\n<li>an allowance for accommodation fees<\/li>\n<li>and any other expenses at the discretion of the Company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tuition fees will be paid to Stellenbosch University directly and all expenses will be paid at the discretion of Southern Farm (Pty) Ltd. The bursary will be awarded for 1 academic year and is renewable each year, based on satisfactory academic performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Obligations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bursary recipients will be required to partake in vacation work during the December holidays (grape harvest season), at Southern Farms in the Northern Cape or any affiliated farm. After graduation, students may be required to work for Southern Farms for an equal duration of the bursary award received.<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"6\">Make sure to read every detail of your Bursary contract.
