The scholarship is a cooperation between the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goethe.de\/de\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Goethe-Institut<\/a>\u00a0and \u00bb<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pop-kultur.berlin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pop-Kultur<\/a>\u00ab and will be taking place for the eighth time in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications for Goethe Talents Scholarship 2023 are open now<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<h2>ARE YOU\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\u2026 a young musician between 20-30 years old?<br \/>\n\u2026 from the Global South, North Africa or West- and Central- Asia<\/p>\n<h2>DO YOU\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\u2026 have work experience in the field of music?<br \/>\n\u2026 speak English fluently?<\/p>\n<p>If you can answer all these questions with\u00a0<strong>YES<\/strong>, please submit your application for the Goethe Talents Scholarship 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The scholarship is directed at musicians between ~20 and ~30 years of age who have already gained some experience in the field of music and have a solid grasp of the English language.<\/li>\n<li>The programme is particularly focused on talents from the Global South, the Middle East and (Central) Asia.<\/li>\n<li>The talents are selected after an international application process through the worldwide network of the Goethe-Institut.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>participation fee, accommodation, travel expenses, hospitality\u00a0<\/strong>(per diem) for the period of\u00a0<strong>August 24th to September 4th, 2023<\/strong>\u00a0will be covered by the Goethe-Institut.<\/li>\n<li>Goethe-Institut will also book and pay for flights and will help with visa issues.<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, Musicboard Berlin will give a\u00a0<strong>free Festival Ticket<\/strong>\u00a0plus access to\u00a0<strong>Pop-Kultur\u2019s networking area<\/strong>\u00a0for professionals to all talents, organize accommodation (breakfast included), cover\u00a0<strong>health insurance<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>public transportation within Berlin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The programme offers a variety of activities to experience the \u201cmusic city\u201d Berlin before the actual Festival: Studio visits, intensive jam sessions, short traineeships in selected companies from Berlin\u2019s creative industries, listening sessions and meetings with scholarship holders of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicboard-berlin.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Musicboard Berlin GmbH<\/a>, as well as many other activities.<\/li>\n<li>Highlights of the promotion and exchange programme are the participation in \u00bbPop-Kultur Nachwuchs\u00ab, the official talent programme of the festival, intensive Studio collaborations of all Goethe Talents 2023 participants and of course experiencing the full programme of \u00bbPop-Kultur\u00ab Live.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Expectations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All participants will have to prepare a short\u00a0<strong>input talk<\/strong>\u00a0(of approx. 15 min.) in advance about their experience in the music field thus far and about the music scene in their respective country.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advanced English<\/strong>\u00a0skills are crucial to attend the programme as there is no translation available (B2 minimum!). You will be tested in advance by a local Goethe-Institut.<\/li>\n<li>You need work experience in the field of music and we need proof of at least 3 projects you participated in.<\/li>\n<li>We expect your motivation for exchange and engagement in working with a diverse group in the field of music production and performance.<\/li>\n<li>You have to cover all additional expenses that might occur during your stay.<\/li>\n<li>All applications are for individual persons only.
