This program identifies and rewards young talented researchers in the formal sciences, life and environmental sciences, material sciences, engineering sciences, and technological sciences.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the majority of applications received for the sub-Saharan Africa regional program have come mainly from South Africa. Given the importance of the challenges of African scientific research and our commitment to encourage more women scientists across sub-Saharan Africa, we decided to separate the initial regional program into two separate programs:<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 A new programme dedicated to South Africa<br \/>\n\uf0b7 The regional program of sub-Saharan Africa, with the 48 other countries of the region (see the list of countries in Appendice 1)<\/p>\n<p>For this 11th edition, 20 endowments will be given to encourage young researchers currently in doctoral or post-doctoral studies to pursue a brilliant scientific career.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p>15 endowments of 10,000 \u20ac each, will be allocated to 15 doctoral students enrolled in a doctoral school and in a research laboratory in sub-Saharan Africa (see section 2.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pursuing studies leading to a PhD degree or having obtained a PhD degree in the following scientific fields: Life sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physical sciences, Engineering and technological sciences, Mathematics and Computer science<\/li>\n<li>Being from one of the 48 countries of the Sub-Saharan region<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled in a doctoral Institution and\/or working in a research Laboratory\/University or Institution of the 49 countries of the Sub-saharan\u00a0region\u00a0(including South Africa)<br \/>\n<strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Being from one of the 49 countries of the Sub-Saharan region<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled in a doctoral Institution and\/or working in a research Laboratory\/University or Institution of the 48 countries of the Sub-Saharan region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Application Process:<\/p>\n<p>Applications are made by the candidates themselves only through the online platform: www.forwomeninscience.com. An application is only considered complete when it includes all of the following documents:<br \/>\n_ A detailed CV of 1 to 2 pages maximum including training, dissemination actions, commitments of the candidate, etc.<br \/>\n\uf02d Copies of diplomas or certificates obtained from the license in their original language,<br \/>\n\uf02d A summary of research work in 200 words maximum (intended for a panel of scientific experts),<br \/>\n\uf02d A detailed description of the research work of 2 pages maximum, including the references (Text justified, Times New Roman font, size 12 with single spacing<br \/>\n\uf02d An estimated budget detailing the expenditure envisaged supporting the coherence and realism of the research work. This budget must not exceed \u20ac 10,000 for doctoral students and \u20ac 15,000 for post-doctoral researchers (in the form of a table with projected expenses).
