It welcomes participants from around the world to Uppsala for ten days of interactive lectures and training. The programme builds on 45 years of peace and conflict research and education at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcr.uu.se\/\">Uppsala University<\/a>, combined with insights from the Foundation\u2019s\u00a0ongoing engagement in international policy discussions in the peacebuilding field.<\/p>\n<p>Many regional inter-governmental organisations active in the area of dialogue and mediation globally have created special units for engaging with conflict prevention, mediation, peacemaking or peacebuilding. Similar developments can be observed in regional civil society organisations. In this rapid and dynamic process, practitioners have increasingly come to realise the importance of a continuous exchange of knowledge, experience and perspectives to improve understanding and performance.<\/p>\n<p>This training is specially designed for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and mid-level leaders from international and regional organisations, civil society and universities with a particular focus on the use of dialogue in building and sustaining peace in developing countries and territories eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA).<\/p>\n<p>Participants become acquainted with the latest research in this field, guided by skilled experts, and will jointly reflect on its relevance and applicability to their ongoing work while developing a network of colleagues from other countries.<\/p>\n<p>Target group<\/p>\n<p>The training programme will include 25 participants and aims at equal gender representation, global geographic variation as well as representation of different types of organisations and levels of experience among the participants.<\/p>\n<p>It is intended for individuals who are from and are currently working in developing<br \/>\ncountries and territories were eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA).<\/p>\n<p>Professional requirements<\/p>\n<p>The training specifically targets practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and mid-level professionals from international and regional organisations, civil society and universities with a particular focus on dialogue in peacebuilding and sustaining peace.<br \/>\nThe programme is primarily designed for individuals engaged in various peace efforts and with prior professional experience in the field of peace and security.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs and Visa<\/strong><br \/>\nThe organisers will cover international travel from the closest international airport to the training venue in Uppsala, accommodation, breakfast and lunches during the stay in Uppsala.<\/p>\n<p>Participants are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas.
