The goals and objectives of SFIAR are:<br \/>\na) Sharing information between ARD stakeholders in Switzerland<br \/>\nb) Promoting the visibility of Swiss ARD<br \/>\nc) Playing an advocacy role at the policy level<br \/>\nd) Serving as a national partner in international initiatives<br \/>\ne) Promoting collaboration between actors in Swiss ARD<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility<br \/>\nEligible for the SFIAR Award is research that<br \/>\n\uf0b7 has been carried out at or in close collaboration with a Swiss institution<br \/>\n\uf0b7 has involved partners (institutions and\/or individuals) located in developing countries<br \/>\n\uf0b7 has been completed preferably no longer than three years ago<br \/>\n(for Master\u2019s Thesis Award: master\u2019s thesis submitted preferably not longer than 18 months ago)<\/p>\n<p>Application<br \/>\nApplicants have to fill in the attached application form and provide the research summary (maximum 2<br \/>\npages including illustrations) and the other documents mentioned on the form in English, French or<br \/>\nGerman. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements will not be considered. The deadline for<br \/>\napplications is 13 July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Selection<br \/>\nA selection committee of at least three SFIAR experts will review the submissions (based on the 2<br \/>\npages research summary only) and select the best proposal. If four or less submissions are received,<br \/>\nthe committee may decide not to make an award that year. The SFIAR members endorse the<br \/>\nrecommendation by the selection committee if they do not have a valid challenge.<br \/>\nThe main selection criteria are:<br \/>\na) research quality<br \/>\nb) demonstration of the potential for development impact<br \/>\nc) compliance with criteria defined under \u201cScope\u201d<br \/>\nd) presentation<\/p>\n<p>Award<br \/>\nThe award is offered annually.
