Our\u00a0History<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mopani South East TVET College was established in 2003, when Phalaborwa Technical, Sir Val Duncan Technical and Mapulaneng Technical merged as part of the National transformation process that transformed the Higher Education landscape in South Africa.<\/p>\n

These technical colleges then became campuses offering a variety of programmes in Business and Engineering Studies.<\/p>\n

The name came as a result of the geographical positioning of the institution \u201cMopani\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0represented the District,\u00a0\u201cSouth\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0represented Mapulaneng Campus which was on the South of Mopani District Municipality and\u00a0\u201cEast\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0represented Sir Val Duncan and Phalaborwa which were both on the Eastern side of the District.<\/p>\n

In 2006, the College de-merged with the Mapulaneng Campus located in Bushbuckridge due to demarcation and Bushbuckridge was transferred to Mpumalanga Province.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>The college now has two campuses and a Satelite Campus namely; Sir Val Duncan Campus, Phalaborwa Campus and Mo\u0161ate Hotel School. Sir Val Duncan campus offers Engineering programmes, the Phalaborwa Campus offers Business Studies and the Mo\u0161ate Hotel School School offers occupational programmes.<\/p>\n

The institution is accredited and is a registered public institution operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training.<\/p>\n
