All Eligible and Interested applicants may apply online for this opportunity before the application deadline-closing date.<br \/>\n<em><strong>NOTE:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t forget that\u00a0<b>EDCTP Career Development<\/b>\u00a0is totally free of charge<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t send anyone money for this opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>Beware of Fraudsters!!!!<\/li>\n<li>Subscribe to our notification list with your email to receive the Latest Opportunities Update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Details of EDCTP Career Development<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>EDCTP 2020 Career Development Fellowships in poverty-related diseases and child and adolescent health<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this Call for Proposals is to support early- to mid-career researchers (\u201cfellows\u201d) by providing them with opportunities to train and develop their clinical research skills.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>to promote retention of postdoctoral researchers and postgraduate medical researchers in the clinical or field research areas of sub-Saharan Africa<\/li>\n<li>to equip the fellows to establish themselves as independent researchers with ability to establish their own research teams at host institutions in sub-Saharan Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Proposals should enhance the ability of the fellow to design, plan and execute clinical biomedical and\/or social science\/ethics research projects within the scope of the EDCTP2 programme.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the extraordinary global crisis of COVID-19 that is also affecting African countries, this topic should also be considered by applicants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expected impact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Projects funded under this Call for Proposals should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>contribute towards the achievement of SDG3 \u2018Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages\u2019<\/li>\n<li>promote career progression of researchers in Africa<\/li>\n<li>encourage entry and reintegration of African scientists trained abroad and<\/li>\n<li>enable the retention of postdoctoral and postgraduate researchers in their respective research fields and that the researchers develop into independent researchers and team leaders at host institutions in sub-Saharan Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ultimately these grants will contribute to the generation of a critical mass of clinical or field\/social science\/ethics researchers and institutional research capacity in sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<br \/>\n<\/strong>A proposal\/application will only be considered\u00a0<strong>eligible<\/strong>\u00a0if:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>its content corresponds, wholly or in part, to the topic\/contest description for which it is submitted<\/li>\n<li>it complies with the eligibility conditions for participation set out below, depending on the type of action:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be a legal entity established in sub-Saharan Africa (the applicant legal entity)**.<\/li>\n<li>The fellow must be employed or have guaranteed employment by the applicant legal entity (the host organisation) where they intend to remain working for a minimum of two years after the expiration of the grant.<\/li>\n<li>The applying fellow must:\n<ul>\n<li>be a resident of or be willing to relocate to a sub-Saharan African country;<\/li>\n<li>be either a graduate in a subject relevant to the EDCTP2 programme, with a PhD and up to five years\u2019 relevant postdoctoral research experience, or a medical doctor with up to five years\u2019 research experience;<\/li>\n<li>have at least one publication in an international peer-reviewed journal;<\/li>\n<li>not have been funded under this fellowship scheme before***.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The requested EDCTP2 contribution per action shall not exceed EUR 150,000.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum fellowship duration shall be 36 months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Application Deadline: 5th August 2020<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For More Information:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edctp.org\/call\/career-development-fellowships-in-poverty-related-diseases-and-child-and-adolescent-health\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><br \/>\nVisit the Official Webpage of the EDCTP 2020 Career Development Fellowships<\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, if you have any Feeling regarding the\u00a0<strong><b>EDCTP Career Development<\/b><\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>Please kindly DROP A COMMENT below and we will respond to it as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Please help others by sharing this post on any social media.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><div class=\"aa-end\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EDCTP Career Development application form | How to apply.
