All Eligible and Interested applicants may apply online for this opportunity before the application deadline-closing date.<\/p>\n NOTE:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Applications for the\u00a0Beyond Borders Scotland Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship Programme 2020\u00a0are now open.<\/p>\n The Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship is based around the principles of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 which\u00a0\u201creaffirms the role of women in the prevention and resolution of conflict, peace negotiations, peace-building, peacekeeping, humanitarian response and in post-conflict reconstruction, and stresses the importance of their equal participation in all efforts for the promotion of peace and security \u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n By bringing together women activists and peacebuilders from a range of conflict affected countries the fellowship provides expert guidance and capacity building training in topics such as mediation, peacebuilding, and dialogue methodologies with an emphasis on inclusivity and sustainable conflict resolution.<\/p>\n The fellowship also includes sessions on personal self-care strategies for those living in conflict areas and those involved in conflict-based work.<\/p>\n To date, the fellowship has been held three times a year in Edinburgh and has so far involved over 200 women from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iraq, Jordan, Kashmir, Lebanon, Libya, the Maldives, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, and Yemen. In 2020\/21, due to the implications of COVID-19, the Fellowship Programme will take place remotely through use of a video conferencing platform and online resources.<\/p>\n Objectives of the Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n The Fellowship Programme aims to:<\/p>\n Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n Open to women from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, who:<\/p>\n Application<\/strong><\/p>\n Send the completed application form and an up-to-date CV to Applications can be accepted in English or Arabic.
