Dentistry,\u00a0Education bursaries,\u00a0Law bursaries\u00a0and also Arts to name but the most prominent.\u00a0 In 2010, thirty candidates graduated in that year alone.\u00a0 High percentages of bursaries are awarded to black South African\u2019s and the company has spent more than R221 Million on bursaries.<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"2\">SAIRR invites candidates to apply for bursaries every year whether you are a Grade 12 student or already learning at an accredited higher learning institute in South Africa.\u00a0 Candidates studying at any University, The University of Technology or one of the accredited Colleges throughout South Africa are free to apply in any field of study.\u00a0 They prefer the Engineering fields and preference will be given to previously disadvantaged South African candidates.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Covered With The SAIRR Bursary?<\/h2>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"3\">Applicants will have to contact SAIRR directly to find out what costs are covered by the bursaries available each year.\u00a0 They do have a preference for the engineering field of study and also encourages candidates to find employment in the Metal or Engineering sectors after successful completion of studies.<\/p>\n<h2>What SAIRR Bursaries are Available?<\/h2>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"4\">SAIRR can be contacted for more information on available bursary fields but here is a list of the most common bursary fields that they offer candidates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aeronautical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Computer Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Chemical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electro-Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Built Environment<\/li>\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"5\">Most of these fields are for BEng or BSc<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements for the SAIRR Bursary?<\/h2>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"6\">Candidates wanting to apply will also need to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful completion of Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n<li>Matric candidates must have Mathematics as a top subject<\/li>\n<li>Matric candidates must have Science as a top subject<\/li>\n<li>Post Matric must provide Matric Certification with high results<\/li>\n<li>Must be a South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Must hold a valid South African ID document<\/li>\n<li>Must be studying full-time at one of the accredited institutes of higher learning<\/li>\n<li>Must have applied at one of the accredited institutes of higher learning and must have proof of acceptance<\/li>\n<li>Must meet the Academic requirements<\/li>\n<li>Must proof the need for financial assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"7\">After the closing date has been reached the institute will review all online applications and compose a short list there off for candidates that may be awarded bursaries.\u00a0 The candidates on the shortlist will then be contacted by the institute and further documentation will be supplied to these candidates.\u00a0 These candidates need to complete the forms received and have them submitted to the institute no later than the middle of November each year.<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"8\">Candidates who have not heard from the institutes by the end of September have not made the short list and no further contact will be entered into.<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"9\">After all\u00a0the applications have been received fully completed by the shortlisted candidates the institute\u2019s committee will then review those applications.\u00a0 Out of those applications received before the middle of November, candidates will be selected for bursaries.\u00a0 The final selection will be made by the middle of February and the successful candidates who will receive bursaries from SAIRR will be notified.<\/p>\n<h2>How To Apply For The SAIRR Bursary?<\/h2>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"10\">Bursaries online application can be found\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/irr.org.za\/programmes\/bursary-programme\">here<\/a>\u00a0any application that has been downloaded from another website will not be eligible for a bursary.\u00a0 For your application to be considered you have to download it from their website directly or complete it online via their web page.\u00a0 Bursaries used to be accepted via mail but according to their website, this is no longer the case.\u00a0 Candidates who do not have access to internet services can contact SAIRR directly for more information regarding application thru postal services.<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"11\">For any information you can send postal inquiries to the following address:<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"12\">Bursary Department<\/p>\n<p data-birdsend-par-index=\"13\">P.O.
