The Stellenbosch University Department of Genetics is looking for an intelligent student who is willing to take up the challenge of investigating olive lace bugs and olive flea beetles in order to determine how they affect olive trees in South Africa. The perfect candidate will be awarded a bursary that will allow him\/her to pursue an education in Genetics or any other related fields of study.<\/p>\n
The goal of the project is to produce new information regarding the diversity of olive lace bugs and olive flea beetles, their natural enemies and distribution in the Western Cape of South Africa, using DNA-based and morphological methods.<\/p>\n
