Sol Plaatje Local Municipality will provide the successful graduate with experiential training that will result in the development of technical knowledge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3-Year Contract<\/p>\n<p>Electrical Technician (1 vacancy)<\/p>\n<p>Building Inspectors (2 vacancies)<\/p>\n<p>The intern will be trained by Sol Plaatje Local Municipality for the duration of the contract.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates may apply for vacant posts as qualified professionals on completion of the training.<\/p>\n<p>Interns will receive the following fixed stipends with no additional benefits:\u00a0 R216 000 \u2013 R252 000\/a<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications for Technician:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National Diploma (Electrical Engineering) or a relevant Degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications for Building Inspectors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification or National Diploma (Building) or a relevant Degree Other requirements:<\/li>\n<li>Code 08\/EB Driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Skills and Knowledge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for a results-driven person, a team player who is customer focused<\/li>\n<li>Has knowledge of engineering principles and has an ability to apply this knowledge<\/li>\n<li>An ability to communicate (in writing and verbally) well at all levels<\/li>\n<li>A positive attitude<\/li>\n<li>An ability to plan and organise workloads effectively to enhance performance<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work irregular hours<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literate in MS Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During the training, Engineering Interns will be expected to successfully demonstrate all proficiencies as determined by the respective professional bodies for the graduate development programme in the respective disciplines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>HOW TO APPLY<\/h2>\n<p>Preference will be given to applicants who permanently reside in the Frances Baard District Area.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is restricted to South African citizens only.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment will also be made in the context of the Employment Equity Act.<\/p>\n<p>The
