Successful interns will complete a 4-year B. Education degree and will receive daily hands-on experience in the classroom, guided by St Peter\u2019s teachers. Interns will also be exposed to alternative teaching environments through our Community Partnership Programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric with Bachelor degree area;<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to be involved in specific school programmes and projects such as plays, field trips, hikes, sporting and outreach activities, where relevant and possible;<\/li>\n<li>Have Pioneer\u2019s educational psychologist, who will act as the site supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Provide therapeutic interventions, including play therapy and trauma support to primary school students from Grade 00\/000 to Grade 7<\/li>\n<li>Provide learning support and remedial interventions to students in the primary school.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct psycho-educational assessments of students in the primary school<\/li>\n<li>Conduct school readiness assessments of students in Grade R<\/li>\n<li>Write professional, useful and psychometrically-sound assessment reports<\/li>\n<li>Provide group interventions and facilitate Social and Emotional Learning experiences with an emphasis on prevention in the secondary school<\/li>\n<li>Attend Student Support Team meetings and work as part of a collaborative student support team<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate clinical records<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the highest level of professional and ethical conduct, upholding the Professional Rules of Conduct pertaining to the profession of psychology as laid down by the HPCSA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have completed or be nearing completion of an accredited master\u2019s degree in educational psychology (no time will be given for completion of course work)<\/li>\n<li>Be registered with the HPCSA as an intern psychologist by January 2022<\/li>\n<li>Have an individualized internship programme that has been approved by the Professional Board for Psychology by December 2020<\/li>\n<li>Be contracted to an external clinical supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Be willing and able to work on different campuses of the
