Once confined to medical graduates, internship is used for a wide range of placements in businesses,\u00a0non-profit organizations and government agencies. They are typically undertaken by students and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in a particular field.<\/p>\n<p>Internships for professional careers are similar in some ways. Similar to internships,\u00a0apprenticeships transition students from vocational school into the workforce. The lack of standardization and oversight leaves the term &#8220;internship&#8221; open to broad interpretation. Interns may be high school students, college and university students, or post-graduate adults. These positions may be paid or unpaid and are temporary.<\/p>\n<h2>Volkswagen Internships Programme Application Details 2022<\/h2>\n<p><strong> The Volkswagen Youth Employment Service provided work for 560 unemployed youth last year and now it is open for\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the public-private initiative lead by the Presidency to address the perpetual youth unemployment crisis in the country, Volkswagen Group South Africa has partnered with the Youth Employment Service (YES) Foundation and other organization to create employment opportunities for unemployed youth.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019 VWSA provided work opportunities for 560 unemployed youth who were places through the following channels.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>70 internally (Uitenhage, NSO\u00a0and at the Distribution Centre in Centurion)<\/li>\n<li>236 within the VWSA Dealer Network across different regions<\/li>\n<li>254 with SME host partner across the country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VWSA will continue with the YES Programme in 2020, and invited applications for consideration by qualifying youth.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should be black, in accordance with the BEE definition<\/li>\n<li>Must be between the ages of 18 &#8211; 34 years (as this is the definition of youth)<\/li>\n<li>Have a valid SA ID documents<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum Grade 12 certificate<\/li>\n<li>Are currently unemployed<\/li>\n<li>Not studying full time<\/li>\n<li>Have no been permanently employed with a single employer for more than one year<\/li>\n<li>Hungry for an opportunity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note acceptance is not guaranteed &#8211; it is subject to meeting all the required criteria. Successful candidates will be placed with any of the hosts where opportunities for jobs are available closest to where he candidate lives. Successful candidates will received a stipend for 12 months from the time they are placed with a host.
