Yearly the SA Reserve Bank recruits top talents from Universities throughout South Africa to join the SA Reserve Bank Graduate Learnership program. These fresh graduates then have an opportunity to enter a world of finance, business, banking and more. The SARB seeks the top cream of talent for their program and has an intense selection procedure. With their vigorous selection process, only a handful of candidates make their short list.<\/p>\n

The SARB is known to be the central bank and was recognized in 1921 by Parliament to bring stability to the financial state of the country after World War 2. It was said to be the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0Central Bank that was formed outside of Europe and UK. Since then it has grown in strength, it is governed by a board of directors. This bank is privately owned by shareholders. The current shareholders amount to about 660. The main objective of the SARB is to safeguard the currency of South Africa, to keep a balance and ensure economic growth.<\/p>\n

With this program, selected candidates will emerge with the skills and knowledge to enter a world of banking, business, operations, and more. The SARB may also offer many of their selected candidates an opportunity to become a part of their permanent employees.
