the opportunity to gain 1 year\u2019s work experience and International Certifications in CompTIA Security + and Ethical Hacking upon successful examination.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have successfully completed 3-year Degree\/ Diploma in IT: Computer Science, Communication and Networks, Systems Support, Network Engineering, Network Support or other related fields<\/li>\n<li>Strong passion and interest in Cyber Security<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with information security concepts and knowledge of the cyber threat landscape<\/li>\n<li>Currently unemployed<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Currently not participating in any learnership\/ internship<\/li>\n<li>Be under the age of 29 years<\/li>\n<li>Not be involved in any other studies for the period of the internships<\/li>\n<li>Persons with a disability must provide a medical certificate \u201c\u201d confirming the nature of the disability<\/li>\n<li>Only South African citizens in possession of a valid SA ID will be considered<\/li>\n<li>Clear ITC and no criminal record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your duties will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing, updating, and implementing security measures and controls.<\/li>\n<li>Performing assessments of the IT security\/risk posture within the IT network and systems.<\/li>\n<li>Risks Assessments and Vulnerabilities assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Secure digital files and information systems, protecting them from unauthorized access or tampering.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support and monitor security access.<\/li>\n<li>Perform regular internal and external security audits.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).<\/li>\n<li>Create, modify, and update IDS, IPS, and SIEM rules.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze the source of security breaches.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend and implement security tools and anti-malware software.<\/li>\n<li>Determine, adapt, and maintain corporate security procedures and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Provide staff with security awareness training.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate security measures with external contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Inform management of security vulnerabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Identify cybercrime perpetrators and liaise with the appropriate authorities if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records of security monitoring and incident response activities.<\/li>\n<li>Report on findings and recommendations for corrective
