They cover tuition fees, accommodation fees and give students a transport, living, and book allowance.<\/p>\n<p>NSFAS has sent some applicants a consent form that needs to be completed and returned so that their application is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Click here to access the consent form:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsfas.org.za\/content\/downloads\/NSFAS%202020%20Applications%20Consent%20Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0NSFAS Consent form<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you have completed the form go to<a href=\"http:\/\/http\/\/my.nsfas.org.za(link%20is%20external)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0http:\/\/my.nsfas.org.za<\/a> and log in. You will receive\u00a0the option to upload your outstanding supporting documents. Once the documents have been uploaded click on the tab &#8216;Submit Documents&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The process is complete once all documents are uploaded and you receive a notification that says &#8216;Outstanding application documents submitted successfully uploaded.<\/p>\n<p>If you did upload the documents but there was a problem the most common issue\u00a0is that the documents are not clear.\u00a0\u00a0If you have a problem taking photos with your cellphone you can go to a NSFAS or a NYDA office and they will assist you. If there is not a NSFAS or NYDA office near you, and you have applied to a college or varsity then ask their fees office to assist you.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to Check NSFAS Application Status<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve applied and you want\u00a0to access your application status:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Login on the myNSFAS student portal through this link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2SWFVh3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/2SWFVh3<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Enter your username and password, then click SIGN IN!<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0Track Funding Progress.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have followed these three easy steps, you will be able to see whether you are funded or not. It may take some time for your application to be successful so please be patient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Application results will be communicated to all applicants once NSFAS received confirmation from the institution that an academic offer has been made to you.\u00a0NSFAS will inform you of their decision before the start of the academic year and this will be done through SMS, email as well as your <a href=\"https:\/\/southafricaportal.com\/mynsfas-account\/\">myNSFAS account<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you are approved for NSFAS funding, the funding covers you until you finish your qualification. This does however depend on whether\u00a0you continue to meet the academic criteria.
