The programme is mainly focused into three modules which will take place in\u00a0June, September\/October and February 2022. Each module lasts between three to\u00a0eight\u00a0weeks and requires\u00a0approximately one working day per week, including participation\u00a0in physical meetings at conference venues locally, live online sessions, and engagement with pre-recorded material, group assignments and individual work. In between the modules, you will work on your own sustainability project with the help of expert coaching and group tasks.<\/p>\n<p>First module\u00a0(<em>8, 15 and 22<\/em>\u00a0<em>June \u2013 full days<\/em>)\u00a0is scheduled to take place at conference venues in the capitals of each country. If a physical meeting is not possible because of Covid-19\u00a0restrictions in a specific country, the programme will be adapted for that country.<\/p>\n<p>Second module (<em>preliminarily scheduled to eight Thursdays in September and October<\/em>.) If\u00a0Covid-19\u00a0restrictions allow,\u00a0the second\u00a0module could also take place at conference venues together with the SIMP peers in your country. To take part in the programme you must be able to commit to one full day per week during modules.<\/p>\n<p>SIMP\u00a02021 will be an online programme, where various digital tools and set-ups will give you a unique, varied and interactive learning experience. The digital format of SIMP enables learning to take place over an extended period, allowing time for reflection as well as the opportunity for continuous work, both individually and together with other participants.<\/p>\n<p>The programme consists of the following activities:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical meetings in your country capital<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the\u00a0pandemic situation allows\u00a0participants will be invited to physical meetings at conference venues in the respective capital cities. These full day programmes will consist of live online sessions, group tasks and presentations by participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Online sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interactive\u00a0live\u00a0sessions\u00a0via our online tools where you will meet the SIMP team, our experts and your fellow participants.\u00a0In these sessions, you will explore the programme content further with our experts, with a specific focus on\u00a0questions,\u00a0reflections, discussions\u00a0and small group tasks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pre-recorded material<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Expert lectures and discussions that are recorded in advance so that participants can watch\/listen when it fits their schedule.\u00a0You\u00a0should\u00a0watch\u00a0these in preparation for the online live sessions\u00a0to\u00a0learn more\u00a0and explore\u00a0specific topics\u00a0before meeting the experts\u00a0in the online sessions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks<\/strong><strong>: In groups and individually<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Group tasks\u00a0and challenges\u00a0focused on sustainable business\u00a0will be reoccurring during the\u00a0modules\u00a0to stimulate learning from peers and\u00a0to\u00a0test\u00a0your\u00a0leadership skills.\u00a0You will also have individual tasks to complete particularly in responsible leadership.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reflection groups<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u00a0will\u00a0meet digitally\u00a0in smaller\u00a0groups\u00a0to maximise learning, build supportive relationships and gain new ideas and perspectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your\u00a0<\/strong><strong>I<\/strong><strong>nitiative<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0SIMP Initiative is\u00a0your\u00a0individual\u00a0opportunity to\u00a0address a sustainability challenge\u00a0in\u00a0your organisation.\u00a0Within the programme, you will\u00a0identify\u00a0the challenge to work with,\u00a0involve\u00a0your stakeholders and colleagues\u00a0as appropriate,\u00a0apply your\u00a0own expertise and\u00a0new knowledge,\u00a0and receive expert coaching\u00a0to\u00a0move forward in\u00a0solving\u00a0this challenge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs covered and arranged by Swedish Institute<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training and content<\/li>\n<li>Conference facilities\u00a0if\u00a0the pandemic situation allows\u00a0for\u00a0physical meetings\u00a0in the capital\u00a0of each country included in SIMP Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How to Apply:Create your application online in the application portal.
