Mdu Masilela (born April 25, 1970, in Zola, Soweto) is a South African musician who pioneered the kwaito music scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>He along with the likes of Mandoza\u201a Boom Shaka\u201a Trompies\u201a Brown Dash and Spikiri in the 1990s pioneered the kwaito music scene.<\/p>\n

He was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement award at the 2015 South Africa Music Awards.<\/p>\n
