Anneline Kriel (born 28 July 1955 in Pretoria) is a South African Actress, model, and a former Miss World and Miss South Africa.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

At nineteen she conquered the pageantry world by becoming Miss World in 1974, thereby becoming the second woman from South Africa to hold the title.<\/p>\n

Anneline Kriel lived in Huis Asterhof (formerly Vergeet-my-nie) during her time as a student at the University of Pretoria.<\/p>\n

As a student, Kriel made one film called \u201cSomer\u201d which was a set book for schools written by CM van den Heever, a television short story in Afrikaans, called \u201cStorieboekmoord\u201d and became Rag Queen and entered the Miss South Africa competition and won the Miss Northern Transvaal Competition.<\/p>\n

Anneline Kriel went on to become Miss world at nineteen after initially finishing in second place when Helen Morgan of the UK stepped down after just four days. Prior to her triumph at the world stage, she won Miss South Africa.<\/p>\n

Kriel went from being Miss World to be a fashion model and worked in Italy for five years. She worked as the Birra Peroni model in television and magazine adds. She also worked as a model in Paris and New York with Johnny Casablanca Model Management Agency.<\/p>\n
