Roger De S\u00e1 (born 1 October 1964) is a South African football manager and the current head coach of Premier Soccer League club Platinum Stars.<\/strong><\/p>\n
He was born on the 1st of October 1964 in Maputo,\u00a0Mozambique. As of 2020, he is 56 years old.<\/p>\n
Roger De S\u00e1 started his professional career after Kwikot Benoni coach Jingles Pereira, who knew De S\u00e1\u2019s father, knew that the goalkeeper was not playing professional football, promptly signing the player.<\/p>\n
During his career, Roger De Sa played for major South African clubs Moroka Swallows and Mamelodi Sundowns, both of which he captained as well.<\/p>\n
De S\u00e1 was capped only once in his career during a 1994 African Cup of Nations qualification match against Zambia. He was part of the 1996 African Nations Cup-winning squad.<\/p>\n
In September 2012, De S\u00e1 was appointed as the coach for Orlando Pirates. Before his appointment to Orlando Pirates, De S\u00e1 took over the full coaching reins at Bidvest Wits in 2001.<\/p>\n

De S\u00e1 rejoined The Students in June 2007 after an absence of two years which he spent coaching Engen Santos.<\/p>\n
On 31 January 2014, De Sa resigned as coach of Orlando Pirates. Da Sa was appointed Ajax Cape Town coach in 2014 but stepped down from the position after a winless start to the 2016\/17 PSL season.<\/p>\n
In January 2017, Da Sa was announced as Maritzburg United\u2019s manager, but he parted ways with the club in March of the same year.<\/p>\n
