Cornerstone Institute Financial Aid Application 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\nThe Financial Aid Program is established to assist students in accessing tertiary study and to succeed at this study through the provision of financial assistance. Financial assistance is usually in the form of partial remission of fees and is dependent on the availability of funds and the criteria below.<\/p>\n
The responsibility for financing the balance of the fees rests with the student, according to the\u00a0Yearbook<\/a>, Section on \u2018Payment of Fees\u2019 on pages 42 to 46.<\/p>\n

Additional eligibility criteria may be considered as per a donor\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n
Take note of the following:<\/p>\n
\n- Financial Aid Application forms can be downloaded from the Cornerstone website. Only completed applications with all supporting documents will be considered.<\/li>\n
- Only South African students and students from SADC countries may apply for financial aid.<\/li>\n
- The student must pay the specified registration fee at registration to activate their approved funding.<\/li>\n
- Returning students have to ensure that their student account is up to date before they can be considered for financial aid for the next academic year.<\/li>\n
- All financial aid recipients are required to submit a bi-annual Funder Thank-you Letter to the Head of Student Services and to update their Profile, which will be made available for funders.<\/li>\n
- The student must commit to completing the qualification (failing which all monies granted must be repaid) and sign an undertaking accordingly.<\/li>\n
- Module failures, as well as additional modules taken, are not eligible for financial aid.<\/li>\n
- Failure of an applicant to disclose information that may influence the awarding of financial aid will result in the cancellation of funds awarded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The application forms must be accompanied by all stated supporting documents, eg, Certified ID copy of student\/ applicant, Certified ID copies of both parents, if one\/both is deceased- certified death certificate, income statement\/ payslip of both parents if they are working, if they are not working an affidavit stating they are not working, if they are getting a grant, a proof showing that, if the applicant has brothers and sisters, their certified ID\/ birth certificates copies, if they are registered with other tertiary institutions, proof of that is also required. Original documents and copies must be taken to the nearest Police station\/ local Post Office for the stamp.<\/p>\n
