Charles Nqakula (born 13 September 1942) is a South African politician who serves as High Commissioner to the Republic of Mozambique from South Africa. He was appointed by President\u00a0Jacob Zuma\u00a0in 2012.<\/strong><\/p>\n
He previously served as Minister of Defence from September 2008 to 2009 and as Minister for Safety and Security from May 2002 to September 2008.<\/p>\n
He was born on 13 September 1942 in Eastern Cape, South Africa. Nqakula is 78 years old as of 2020.<\/p>\n
He is married to\u00a0Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula\u00a0MP. His wife is the South African Minister of Defence and Military Veterans.<\/p>\n
