World Bank Classification Income)<\/strong>, the University of Pavia and EDiSU (Institute of the Right to University Studies) provide\u00a0<strong>5\u00a0<\/strong><strong>scholarships<\/strong>\u00a0to visiting scholars for the year<strong>\u00a02022<\/strong>\u00a0for a period of stay of 4 to 12 weeks at the University of Pavia.<\/p>\n<p>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must have at least two years of either teaching experience or activity within<br \/>\ninternational organisations and institutions.<br \/>\nScholarships are designed for both junior and senior members of Universities in Developing<br \/>\nCountries or members of major research centres and international organisations or institutions<br \/>\nwith specific interest in the field of development studies.<br \/>\nCICOPS scholarships are reserved for research collaboration in the short term in order to<br \/>\nencourage the mobility of researchers from developing countries. Applicants enrolled in a Doctoral<br \/>\nor Postgraduate Course at an Italian University are not eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n<p>a) The scholarship includes travel, meals and accommodation expenses, health insurance policy<br \/>\nand a contribution of 150.00 Euro (gross) per week.<br \/>\nb) Selected scholars must confirm acceptance of the scholarship and its conditions within 20 days<br \/>\nof receipt of the email communication stating their successful application, together with the exact<br \/>\ndates of their requested stay.<br \/>\nThe period of stay will be communicated to EDISU, which will book a single room at a university<br \/>\nresidence in Pavia. It being understood that the communicated period of stay cannot be<br \/>\nsubsequently modified without the consent of EDiSU. EDiSU reserves the right to make any<br \/>\nchanges to the terms and conditions of the accommodation that are made necessary by the health<br \/>\nemergency situation.<br \/>\nc) If a candidate fails to confirm his\/her acceptance, he\/she loses the right to the scholarship that<br \/>\nwill be consequently awarded to the next applicant in the ranking. Changes to the planned program<br \/>\nagreed upon the assignment of the scholarship will not be accepted.<br \/>\nd) Once the University of Pavia has received the declaration of acceptance of the scholarship, we<br \/>\nwill:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>send an invitation letter in support of the visa request (with prior arrangements and in<br \/>\nspecial cases a contribution for visa issuing will be granted);<\/li>\n<li>book a return flight ticket (economy class);<\/li>\n<li>stipulate a health insurance policy and personal accident insurance;<\/li>\n<li>arrange accommodation at a University College for the period of stay in Pavia;<\/li>\n<li>provide a card for meals at University canteens;<\/li>\n<li>pay the contribution.<br \/>\ne) The hosting Department will guarantee access to all the necessary facilities for study and<br \/>\nresearch activities (libraries, computer facilities, etc.).<br \/>\nf) The selected scholar will be requested to sign the EDISU Regulation, valid for all university<br \/>\nresidences, as well as all documentation relating to Health Safety Protocols (Protocol,<br \/>\nVedemecum, etc). Failure to comply with the Regulation will lead to the interruption of the study<br \/>\nperiod and the loss of the scholarship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Application Procedure<\/p>\n<p>In order to encourage contact between staff and students, the period of stay should take place<br \/>\nwithin the following dates: January 10th \u2013 July 22nd 2022 and September 12<br \/>\nth \u2013 December 20th 2022.<br \/>\nApplications must be sent no later than May 31st 2021 by filling out the online application form<br \/>\navailable on the CICOPS website:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"NgDiPgSxZP\"><p><a href=\"http:\/\/cicops.unipv.it\/cicops-scholarships\/\">CICOPS Scholarships 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#8220;CICOPS Scholarships 2025&#8221; &#8212; cicops\" src=\"http:\/\/cicops.unipv.it\/cicops-scholarships\/embed\/#?secret=NgDiPgSxZP\" data-secret=\"NgDiPgSxZP\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nThe following documents should be uploaded to the online form:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Curriculum vitae ideally in European format with a list of publications<br \/>\n(file to be named: Surname_Name_CV)<\/li>\n<li>Invitation letter from the professor or researcher with whom you intend to collaborate 1<br \/>\n(file to be named: Surname_Name_Letter)<br \/>\nThe uploaded documents should be named as mentioned above.
