The Data Centre Site Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient running of the Data Centre facility in its entirety, providing support to the Data Centre Manager.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

OBJECTIVES<\/b><\/p>\n
Main function of the Job<\/b><\/p>\n
Data Centre Management<\/b><\/p>\n\n- \n
\n- Manage a team of technicians to ensure smooth operation of the facility.<\/li>\n
- Responsible for management and distribution of maintenance tasks and managing client upgrades such as cable replacements, component and accessory swap out and customs upgrades.<\/li>\n
- Ensure that records, drawings\/schematics and working methods for the facility are maintained and updated following any changes or upgrades.<\/li>\n
- Manage planned and corrective maintenance events ensuring adherence to OHS act requirements and in accordance to predefined standards and schedules.<\/li>\n
- Share knowledge and industry best practices by building close working relationships with technical teams and supervisors across all regions.<\/li>\n
- Ongoing training and evaluation of technical teams on Data Centre best practices and standards.<\/li>\n
- Work closely with Data Centre Manager to resolve escalated support cases and provide relevant technical feedback including completion of incident reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Ensuring comprehensive Root Cause Analysis are completed for all incidents and outages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\n- Monitoring of alerting on all Data Centre equipment, technical team response and feedback to business.<\/li>\n
- Quick responses to all alerting and critical situations.<\/li>\n
- 3rd party vendor management.<\/li>\n
- Manage working methods to ensure all SLA\u2019s, OLA\u2019s and MSA\u2019s are achieved.<\/li>\n
- Implement corrective actions promptly to mitigate the negative effects of system outages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Compliance<\/b><\/p>\n\n- \n
\n- Maintain compliance in accordance with all relative policies and procedures.<\/li>\n
- Maintain compliance in accordance with all relevant certified ISO standards.<\/li>\n
- Support the HR department in achieving the organization developmental plan deliverables within agreed timelines.<\/li>\n
- Meet agreed inter-departmental OLA (Operational Level Agreement)<\/li>\n
- HS&E monitoring and corrective action to meet statutory compliance, SLAs and good business practice<\/li>\n
- Implement company and departmental policies, processes and work instructions as per the agreed quality and timeline\/ RFS (Ready for Service).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Critical System Management<\/b><\/p>\n\n- \n
\n- Management of data centre infrastructure to provide a concurrently maintainable, cost effective system supporting 99.999% electrical uptime and 99.99% mechanical uptime.<\/li>\n
- Ensure applicable planned and corrective maintenance is managed in accordance to ensure customer MSA\u2019s and SLA\u2019s are achieved.<\/li>\n
- Conduct working methods to maintain agreed PUE levels.<\/li>\n
- Task finalisation and report accurately, as per agreed format, quality and within the agreed timelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Data Centre Ethics<\/b><\/p>\n\n- Ensure compliance is maintained incorporating industry best practices.<\/li>\n
- Ensure data centre facilities standards are enforced and maintained.<\/li>\n
- Ensure data centre cleaning standards are enforced and maintained.<\/li>\n
