The NFVF\u2019s bursary programme is aimed at stimulating and developing skills for applicants who want to enter the film &amp; TV industry.<\/p>\n<p>The bursaries are awarded to qualifying applicants who are studying or intending to study towards any qualification in the film and television industry at any accredited South African tertiary institution.\u00a0The bursary is awarded as a non-repayable grant based on merit and\/or financial need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An applicant must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a South African citizen;<\/li>\n<li>have completed and passed matric<\/li>\n<li>have a good academic record;<\/li>\n<li>demonstrate a need for financial assistance;<\/li>\n<li>registered or provisionally registered to study for a full-time undergraduate, postgraduate diploma or degree in film\/TV disciplines at an accredited South African tertiary institution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compulsory Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"td-g-rec td-g-rec-id-content_inline tdi_2 td_block_template_1 \"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>A complete online application form<\/li>\n<li>Letter of acceptance from the institution or a letter of\u00a0acknowledgment\u00a0of their application;<\/li>\n<li>A one-page letter of motivation<\/li>\n<li>Certified ID Copy<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of\u00a0matric\u00a0certificate or latest academic results<\/li>\n<li>Commitment letter for a bursary or loan from other sponsors\/bank where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Annual academic fees breakdown from the institution<\/li>\n<li>If the applicant is not a minor (i.e. older than 21 years old), the applicant must provide proof of financial support (i.e. latest bank statement with a bank stamp or latest payslips).<\/li>\n<li>If the applicant is unemployed, please provide an affidavit stipulating that the applicant is unemployed; and either of the following:<\/li>\n<li>proof of social grant, if applicable;<\/li>\n<li>Parents\/guardian\/partner\u2019s proof of income (i.e. latest bank statement with a bank stamp or latest payslips).<\/li>\n<li>An affidavit stipulating that the applicant is unemployed;<\/li>\n<li>Parents\/guardian\/partner\u2019s proof of income (i.e. latest bank statement or latest payslips).<\/li>\n<li>Where the applicant is a minor (i.e. younger than 21 years old), the applicant must provide the following:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NB! All certified documents must be valid for 6\u00a0<\/strong><strong>months from date of submission.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial need based on the combined gross income of less than R600\u00a0000 for both parents\/ guardian\/s (if the applicant is a minor).<\/li>\n<li>Academic performance will be assessed according to the following:<\/li>\n<li>latest academic qualification;<\/li>\n<li>students enrolled to further their studies, will only be considered if they have achieved an average of 50% or a higher minimum pass rate in their previous year of study;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Matric learners whose final results are not available; an assessment\u00a0will be based on their Grade 11 final results or matric June results.<\/li>\n<li>Detailed motivation stating why the applicant should be considered for the bursary;<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to previously\u00a0disadvantaged\u00a0individuals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Exclusions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any performance arts and acting courses<\/p>\n<p><strong>NB!
