Niehaus had falsely claimed to have a master\u2019s degree and a doctorate in theology (summa cum laude) from Utrecht University, according to a series of media investigations in February 2008.<\/p>\n

A Bachelor\u2019s degree in theology from the University of South Africa (Unisa) was conferred in April 1988, and an honours degree (Cum Laude) from the same school was awarded two years later.<\/p>\n

Niehaus reappeared in 2017 as a spokesperson for the Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans\u2019 Association and a major part of\u00a0Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma\u2019s\u00a0failed presidential bid.<\/p>\n
