Interested candidates\u00a0can now apply to attend one of our courses taking place during the spring\u00a0of 2022.\u00a0The Scholarship programmes are\u00a0funded by<strong>\u00a0the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Hague Academy<\/strong>\u00a0specialises in practice-oriented training programmes for professionals involved in inclusive and sustainable development at the local level. The courses combine theory and practice and result\u00a0in greater awareness, inspiration\u00a0and result-oriented action plans for participants\u2019 work back home.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility criteria:<br \/>\nFor Orange Knowledge Programme Scholarships:<br \/>\n\u2022 There is no age limit.<br \/>\n\u2022 The candidate must be a national of, and working and living in, one of the following countries on<br \/>\nthe OKP country list.<br \/>\n\u2022 The candidate must not be employed by an organisation that has its own means of staff<br \/>\ndevelopment, for example:<br \/>\no multinational corporations (e.g. Shell, Unilever, Microsoft),<br \/>\no large national and\/or large commercial organisations,<br \/>\no bilateral donor organisations (e.g. USAID, DFID, Danida, Sida, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs,<br \/>\nFinAid, AusAid, ADC, SwissAid),<br \/>\no multilateral donor organisations, (e.g. a UN organisation, the World Bank, the IMF, Asian<br \/>\nDevelopment Bank, African Development Bank, IADB),<br \/>\no international NGO\u2019s (e.g. Oxfam, Plan, Care);<br \/>\n\u2022 The candidate must have a current Employer Statement according to the prescribed Nuffic Format.<br \/>\nAll the requested segments must be completed.<br \/>\n\u2022 The Employer Statement must be scanned with the original signature AND stamp of the<br \/>\norganisation, and preferably on official letterhead of the organisation.<br \/>\n\u2022 If applicable, the candidate must have a government statement that meets the requirements of the<br \/>\ncountry in which the employer is established.<br \/>\n\u2022 The candidate must have a passport that is valid at least 4 months after the application deadline.<br \/>\n\u2022 The candidate must not receive more than one scholarship for courses that take place at the same<br \/>\ntime;<br \/>\n\u2022 The short courses are taught in English. Therefore, it is important that your English language skills<br \/>\n(writing and speaking) are good. Pleases add you IELTS or other language proficiency scores if this is<br \/>\nrelevant.<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience is required, working with of for local or regional<br \/>\nauthorities, Civil Society Organisations, Local or Regional NGO\u2019s etc. It is to your advantage if the<br \/>\nwork\/experience is related to the content of the training.<\/p>\n<p>For MENA Scholarship Programme:<br \/>\n\u2022 You must meet the ALL the same requirements as mentioned above for Orange Knowledge<br \/>\nProgramme Scholarships.<br \/>\n\u2022 You must not be over 45 years of age on the application deadline (+ 2 weeks).
