All Eligible and Interested app<a href=\"https:\/\/southafricaportal.com\/\">l<\/a>icants may apply online for this opportunity before the application deadline-closing date.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>NOTE:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t forget that the\u00a0<b>Sanger Institute Prize<\/b>\u00a0application is totally free of charge<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t send anyone money for this opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>Beware of Fraudsters!!!!<\/li>\n<li>Subscribe to our notification list with your email to receive the Latest Opportunities Update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Sanger Institute Prize Application Details 2022<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Sanger Institute Prize<\/strong>\u00a0is an outreach competition for undergraduate students from low- and middle-income countries and gives the winner an opportunity to experience the very cutting edge of genomic research.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>To be eligible to apply for the Sanger Prize applicants must meet\u00a0<strong>all\u00a0<\/strong>of the criteria below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be from a low or middle income country (a full list of eligible countries is available below).<\/li>\n<li>Be studying an undergraduate degree relevant to\u00a0<strong>genomics\u00a0<\/strong>at a University\/Institute in a low\/middle income country\u00a0<strong>at the time of the first stage application<\/strong>. This could include any biological science degree, bioinformatics or any degree which includes genomics as a large part of the content.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate an active interest in research in the genomics field<\/li>\n<li>Have a good command of English (demonstrated by the clear writing within the application form, no certificate of English is required).<\/li>\n<li>Be over 18 at the time of applying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The prize<\/h3>\n<p>The winner of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanger.ac.uk\/about\/study\/the-sanger-prize\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Sanger Institute Prize<\/a>\u00a0will be offered a three-month internship with a research group at the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
